A couple of weeks ago I got a very exciting email in my inbox from Cliona Kelly, a journalist from TV3, inviting me aboard Xposé’s Beauty Bus in collaboration with Vichy Skincare. It was an invite only Bloggers Breakfast over in beautiful Wexford!!! I was beyond excited to be even invited because I’m still a relatively new blogger and I’m not quite used to companies wanting me at their events. I always feel humbled and extremely grateful.
Myself and three other bloggers from Waterford made our way over on Saturday morning 20th May for the event at 10am. Lisa Murphy, from Cuddles and Contouring, Emer Rutherford, from Penneys to Prada and Blaithnaid Prenter, from Wildflower Diaries, who very kindly drove us up and back. All three girls are fashion, beauty and lifestyle bloggers. It’s always nice catching up with my fellow Deise Bloggers! I also got to meet two bloggers I never met before Denise Brophy and Sarah Kearney, as well as Youtuber Charlotte Ryan…I love love love meeting new people and having the chats. Such lovely girls! Their blogs linked below in each photo.
Xposé and Vichy are touring around Ireland making stops in Wexford, Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick. They are giving Xposé’s viewers an opportunity to win treatments and climb on board. We arrived before the viewers came along to see the bus in all it’s glory and what it had to offer. It was kitted out beautifully with treatment table, skincare station and makeup station on the bottom deck.
On the top deck, were couches and a beautiful healthy breakfast laid out by a local café, The Stable Diet, find them on Facebook here => Stable Diet . We received an incredible skincare hamper, which of course, I was over the moon about!!! I recently fell in love with Vichy’s new Idealia Peeling…an essence applied at night before your regular serum and moisturiser that increases cell turnover and drastically improved my skin’s texture after only one week of using. It’s without a doubt my favourite skincare product on the market a the moment. It was part of the goody bag, and this made me very happy!!! I will have a full review up on this and the other products after at least four weeks of using, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
On that day the Xposé and Vichy power Team consisted of
Cassie Stokes – Xposé presenter
Cliona Kelly – TV3 journalist and very successful blogger from peachesog.com
Katie Timmins and Eddie McGloughlin – XPosé and Vichy Brand Ambassadors
Rachel Greene – Verve The Live Agency
All super friendly, chatty and it was an absolute pleasure meeting them all.
The stunning Cassie Stokes very quickly interviewed me….Cassie is such a professional and made me feel totally at ease, and when I eventually relaxed, it was just like chatting away to one of the girls. She asked me what makeup was in my handbag, what make up trend I liked and disliked, my desert island product and my top tips for lip liner! Out of the 7 bloggers there, they aired about a minute of 1 blogger, as they had so much to try fit into a half an hour slot…well done to Denise, from Holy Chic Blog, she looked ah-mazing on screen!
For me personally it was an incredible experience, being interviewed on camera, and one that I would certainly love to do more of in the future! I was super nervous at the beginning but as they say, “Always go with the choice that scares you the most, because that’s the one that’s going to help you grow.”
I was so delighted and humbled to be asked to attend the event for what they described as Ireland’s top beauty bloggers, especially as I have only been blogging for one year!!!
Huge thank you to Cliona Kelly for inviting me and also to Vichy Skincare for absolutely spoiling us with our goody bags. Has the Xposé Beauty Bus been near you yet??? If you see it in your town make sure you hop on and see it in all it’s glory for yourself. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch through any of the ways below.
